1. 970's on 10" rims or- 2. 3000 # 58% LS with slicks, 2750# 59% LS with 970's
Might liven things up a bit as the slick guys could run the high groove as fast as the 970 guys on the bottom.

970's on 10" rims. Even if they are not cheaper (they should be) they last longer. It will help the charger class too because the guys that cant buy new sets can buy used ones from the super teams like they used to.

Be carefull the 970 maybe a little cheaper but after you have them cut there not and only 1 race on them is left so ?? The chargers never came and got tires from us because there is nothining left on the outside ones. So maybe a 2 tire rule again .we've always had in the past ?? So I don't know the best answere here. I like the 2 tire rule

The goal is to get as many guys back out as possible. Racing is entertainment, and to get the fans excited, you need full fields of 26 cars. Watching the same 3 guys dominate a 12 car field will leave a lot of empty seats in the stands. In 2008 they ran Lates and Supers together and had good fields despite the dying economy. Maybe they could do the same thing this year- combine the classes- give the Late models the 970's and a weight break to keep them close in speed, and have a seperate points award for the 2 classes. Everyone would run for the same money.

Topfive I agree. There are also some young guys waiting to get to race the late models due to age. If they allow for Late Models to mix with the supers, you could get more cars in the field. I know of three cars for sure that would race if this happened.

970 for everyone. One or two tire purchases per race. one division. Let us run whatever fuel we want. (pump gas) And the track needs to work on getting a sponsor for the slm division so it can pay more or so the track can make things cheaper for the racers. Easier said than done though.
topfive: Most cars out there can't get to 59% LS weight at 2750lbs My car would weigh 3000lbs to get to 59%.

Jeff- Would you come back out if they ran 970's and pump gas? I know 3 or 4 others who would come back

970's, no tire cutting 2 tires per race and rebel 100 octain fuel. Let the weight rule stand. That would get my car off the jack stands.

Yes, I would come back and race. However, I am in school now so maybe not every race.

3035's all the way around. You can buy 6 tires on opening night and 2 tires every race after that.
