After an awesome trip to San Diego's Monster Jam Democross, JC Motorsports Demo Team will travel to Victorville Auto Raceway to enter their 1st Annual So.Cal. Demo Derby Madness this Saturday March 7, 2009. This will be the 1st demo in a series of 4 total. The top 5 drivers at each demo will be awarded points and a prize of $2500.00 will be given to the champion. Each individual derby will pay out a $1000,00 to win, $500.00 for second and $250.00 for third. Heats and transfers to the main will be determined the night of the show. For more info go to www.victorville-auto-raceway.com The team of Grasser and Nunn will run the same cars they ran at San Diego with some new modifications by fabricator Pops Grasser. The 67 Plymouth #515 and the 72 Cadillac #33 that Nunn won a heat race with at the Democross. Joining JC Motorsports for this weekend at Victorville will be a third car driven by David (Maddog) Garcia. Garcia is out of Palmdale Ca. and will run a 1979 4 door Lincoln #20. Garcia comes to JC Motorsports with 2 consecutive Maddog trophies awarded by Monster Jam for the heaviest hitter at each show. Hence the nickname (Maddog). Again we would like to thank our sponsors Steve at Nevada PickaPart, Pickart Radiators, Campout Trailers and D&N Equipment Repair for all the work they do on our tires and rims. Special thanks to our families and friends that have traveled with us to Perris, Havasu and San Diego. The JC Motorsports Demo Team is very grateful for the 15 to 20 of you that constantly support us at these out of state events. Thank you very much and looking forward to seeing you all again at Victorville.

Have any of you ever been injured? I've heard some tales about injuries but want the skinny on jus how bad it usually is. The thing that keeps me out of the derbys is worrying about screwing up my neck and back and not being able to put bread on tha table. My dad used to do them but seems to have lost interest. Also - there are a couple of candidates around my area how would a early 70's ford country squire boatwagon with a 460 do? a mid 70's continental?

I can only speak for myself, and no I haven't been injured and its not that bad. As you know like any form of motorsports there are risks. The only thing I had a problem with is the seat belt cutting into the hips, but fixed that with those lambskin shoulder strap Velcro wraparound cushions (if thats what you call them) you can pick up cheap at any automotive store. 1 of those on each hip solved the problem. And yes those are 2 good candidates for demos.

the worst accident we've had derbying this year is when JJ broke the door handle in the hotel room ;D ;D So he's no longer allowed to open or close doors, but is allowed to smash things up

My Wagon is basicaly ready to go I could come up with a couple other cars but just need a place to build them. Is thier anybody that knows where a few of us who want to do this has some space or knows somebody thats got space to let us build some cars I did this back in Il. and it was a GREAT time for family and friends to get together and build some cars drink some beer eat some food and have just plain old fun doing it I think I'd have more fun doing this than racing. Oh and yes I have been hurt but it wasn't to bad got some stitches on my cheek when my helment came off and the chinstrap got me but other than that maybe being just a little stiff the next day. Well before I ramble on........ Later Steve

Hey Steve........have to agree with ya.......I like the Derby's better than racing too. It is a great way to spend time with family and friends! Wish I could tell you where you could find some space to work, but don't know right now If we hear of anything we will let you know. Being from Illinois, you sure do know about Derby's We are from the Midwest too, and Derby's were big back there. Just an all around great time! Hope to see you at one of them.

Yes be very very careful of the hotels your road manager books for you. The door knobs on some of these places can be brutal. ;DLOL

Just great! If the boss booked the rooms I won't have to worry about door knobs, these rooms just might not have ANY DOORS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! He may have booked us in a Motel 6 where they just don't leave the light on for you they also leave the doors off for you.LOL LOL

Hey Sassy360 I appreciate what you had to say. I have had more fun over the several years that I had done derbies and made many friends through derbying. I hope that sometime soon I can come up with a place to work my son and I really want to get involved in this and for the time if anybody needs any help building one I'd be more than happy to help out . Later Steve
