Momma G-glad you were at the track! It's been awhile. Glad the 69 car came up to play with the Vegas boys! Hope the trip back to Cali was safe. The events that happened surrounding this past derby were pretty weird. Of course, everyone has their opinions & of course will either think one way or another. It was just another inconsistency it seems. The 515 car had 2 minutes to try and 'move' from his spot before he was considered 'out'. Someone came running DURING A GREEN FLAG, onto the track, WITH MOVING CARS and told him to shut it off, then proceeded to yank on his helmet because he was 'tearing up the track'. This was before his 2 minutes were up. It seems pretty weird to put 'tearing up the track' and 'Demolition Derby' on opposite sides of the spectrum. The issue of safety comes to mind-what if there was another car on fire, or someone else hurt and thats why they told him to shut if off? well, that would have been an easy solution. Throw a red or yellow like a normal race. The issue of safety was breached when someone ran onto the track during a green flag. The issue of tearing up the track should have been considered during planning and if it was a concern, the derby should have been held in the infield. The fans still would have had the up close experience. Guess that's why there aren't many demos in Vegas to begin with. Luckily JC Motorsports is a traveling team and has many other, more accomodating tracks to visit. I doubt police officers and suspensions will be involved either. The scenario definitely escalated to a ridiculous point. Can't wait until the next one!

Hi guys! This is Louise from So Cal, with Dan (#69). Just wanted to thank you for inviting us to play with you last weekend. We had a blast! Hope you have more than one a year from now on, because we will take ANY excuse to come out and see you again. Maybe I can tow my own car next time...
Anyways, the trip home was AWFUL (the tow truck had MAJOR problems and we had to drag it kicking and screaming - got home at 5AM!) but it was worth it. We probably would have had better luck driving the derby car home.
I took some video, but I found one that was much better. Check out or go to YouTube and search "demo derby vegas" to find two others. I've also got some photos - mostly of Gary's wagon!
Thanks again

wow sorry to hear you guys had so much trouble going home. Was great seeing you again. Hope you enjoyed Sunday anyway out here, and hit a jackpot! Don't look for another derby up here though, Certain PEOPLE don't know what they are, or how they are to be ran! Some of the stuff that happened was uncalled for too. Beings I never heard from anyone We gotta do what we gotta do. Will explain all that in person Not going to say anything on here, was advised otherwise ;D Talk to you soon! See you in Arizona or Cali! Again, congrats on the win, just terrible you had trouble going home. Tammy
