Eleven supers started the event- 2 were from out of town. The poorest opening I can remember- Last week Havasu had 39 Late Models. The Super class is no longer the premier show at the Bullring. After the Super Stocks, Legends and Bombers, the fans were filing out of the stands. the only interesting part was watching the under-funded Birdsong take the lead with an outside pass.

So let me get this straight, Delaware restarts with 6 cars and 4 of them are a lap down. What the heck. When Stafford had the chance to go Late Model instead of Super Late Model the Bullring would of had 20 cars or more last night. Come on Ritcher figure this out. The economy sucks, Lates are cheaper than Supers. (motors, tires)

I must say that last nights Opening Night was the worst time management I have ever witnessed. What an amazing mess.
There was an hour and a half of an autograph session because there was a lack of cars to do time trials; a babbling woman on the track interviewing the safety crew trying to get them to sing rap; then more time was wasted looking for someone to wish them a happy birthday; and finally another 15 minutes before the "official" opening of the racing because it wasn't time to begin yet.
I couldn't figure out that last delay - I thought that maybe the powers that be were waiting for the bus loads of spectators to be dropped off, but I never did see them...
There weren't enough cars to even have racing. What a serious joke. Just disaster by the track.
So Done, Done, Done.

What a joke!! Let’s see how many cars they have for the twin mains next week. I set the line at 7. Maybe by 2013 they will get a clue and change the rules in favor of more cars instead of more cost. Of course that would require enforcing the rule to begin with...

“I cut my teammate (Rock) off going into (Turn 1) and I feel really bad,” said Gafforini, referring to the incident on lap 1. “I don’t know what I was thinking, if I turned too fast, I don’t know. I got into him going into (Turn) 1. I should have known better, but it’s totally my fault.

OK so it's called cutting some off when you are three feet past or maybe your hood pins were dragging behind you 5 feet, you were clear down by three feet, awesome pass! You shouldn't be sorry for that.

I was really impressed by that outside pass! You don't see that very often at the Bullring.
