Be careful Harold.... That car came with a 283 with a 2 barrel carb and single exhaust. But it depends on what they will be checking for . maybe worn out cotter pins ?

Well Harold that car should be in the modifieds by the looks of it. Or just for the price it fits in that class. Good luck and happy towing.......Just make sure you can get fenders for it LOL!!!! Just kidding........

Hey bomber83 aren't a 383 and a 283 practically the same? ;D Might have been a fuel injected car? I suppose an 8500 hundred dollar bomber is a bit much, i think the fenders would be ok though, they would have to get by those giant hoosiers to bend them....do hoosiers have dot numbers? Thanks goat roper, but I guess I better keep looking!!!! It would be a badass superstock at dvr though!!!!

1957 Chevy 4-door with a 283 and a powerglide, and rochester mechanical fuel injection would rule! something like 270 horses from the factory. My dad raced against them in sportsman class in the mid 70's in a '54 ford! Gotta love them old racecars.
