Thanks for the dates! We'd love to come down and at least watch some of these if not participate. Perris was awesome last year-is it going to be 2 derbies again? We're planning on making it to Victorville, I really want to race the 200 lapper in November!

Perris this year on Oct 18th should feature two regular derbies, plus a motorhome derby. It will be only the second RV derby held in California, so we don't know a lot about what to expect. Judging by the other one held this year, however, it should be hysterical!

Ok, so the RV derby wasn't quite as successful as the last one It was partially due to mechanical failures with the RVs, plus a track that was a bit too soggy. Oh well, better luck next time. There are still some videos on YouTube. On the other hand, I (#42) did amazingly well in the regular derby right before. I think Dan (#69) got 5th before his transmission grenaded. Then it came down to me and two other guys. We pounded on guy number three for a while, and it was certain that I had 2nd place for sure, with a shot at 1st.... Then my car caught on fire. A lot. So, even though the third guy never moved again, I was eliminated at 3rd place. I narrowly escaped my burning car, and they hustled me into an ambulance just to make sure. They asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital, and I said ,"No, I need to get in my RV, they're about to stage!" Here's a video showing my huge fire.....

You guys missed a ton of fun on Halloween this year! Check out the Trailer Race we did as part of the Night Of Destruction (there was also did Trains, Skid Plates, and Soccer - videos are on YouTube). My trailer came off in the first turn...so I went nuts and destroyed everything after that. I lost both front tires, but it didn't matter. I was taking people out left and right I even hit Dan by accident. This video doesn't show all my great work, but you get the idea...

Oh, I almost forgot... A local newspaper did a story on me recently. It's too long to post here, but you can Google it easily. Look for something under the title "State fair sees California's first woman motorhome driver" in the newspaper called My Valley News. If you put in "Louise Johnson demolition derby" it'll probably come up. There's another article about the Perris derby itself. They named me as The Fire Lady
