From the Havasu95speedway website:
After taking the month of December off to celebrate the holidays, the Havasu 95 Speedway returns to action on January 2nd with a full afternoon of ASA sanctioned stock car racing, a demolition derby and a pit road new year's party.
The most scenic quarter mile asphalt track in the southwest, located within the Sara Park complex in beautiful Lake Havasu City-Arizona, will treat its fans to action from the ASA street stocks who will be running a 75 lap feature with $1,000 going to the winner. Also in action will be the factory stocks and the powder puff division.
When it gets down to ASA street stock racing at the Havasu 95 Speedway there's one major question that has been repeatedly asked by drivers, speedway officials and the fans: who can beat Ralph Adams at this track? The division has ran three races so far during the current winter season and this 69 year old ageless wonder has won all of them in rather convincing fashion.
The Havasu 95 Speedway will also be featuring one of their famous demolition derbies. The smash and dash for cash will pay $1,000 to the driver of the last car still rolling. The driver of the last car eliminated from the event will receive $200.
the January 2nd new years celebration is a day race. The
spectator gates will open at 11 am with the racing beginning at 1 pm.
General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors 55 plus, the military and the handicapped. Kids tickets, for ages six to 16, are $6 while kids five and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. The speedway also offers a family package, which admits two adults and two kids, for $25. Race fans can also enjoy the special amenities of the speedway's VIP section, featuring the best seats in the house, for $25 each.
For out of town race teams and fans the Days Inn is the official motel of the Havasu 95 Speedway. They offer beautiful and spacious rooms at very affordable rates. For reservations
