Dave, It has also been my philosophy to tune the chassis, rather than use a crutch like cambering tires to get my cars turn. It would be easy to police by looking at the wear bars with the use of a tread depth guage. I have seen cut tires and it is very obvious. Anyways, it won't matter LVMS wants to make more money off tires sales and pay racers less to put on a show. Every year LVMS changes something to reach even deeper into our pockets. Blair will do anything to show Powell how much money he can make from week to week. They do not look at the long term business model. It should be interesting to see how many cars "customers" they have 3 races into the season! You cannot sell tires if No one shows up to race! Does anyone remember when we had TV time, $25 pit fees, free pit parking, $100 reserved pit spots, $100 tires and we did not have to pay for our LVMS number to receive points! I hope you guys really look at what has been going on the last five years. Look how many classes have been dropped or combine because LVMS did not have enough cars for a main event! Look at the ASA mod series it is getting bigger and better every year. Good payouts and they are constantly making changes to help their racers. I know several of my Super late model customers are changing their cars to race IRP! The double mains and double payouts are worth the drive!

Dave,
parc ferme??? I looked it up on Google. They have a few of those around Pahrump. They are legal in Nye County, but not here in Clark County.

Last I checked parc ferme was a go kart term, they impound tires, fuel tanks, and jugs until you're on the grid, something a lot easier done with karts than stock cars.
Although the parc ferme goat roper is talking about may bring a bigger crowd to the track, but I don't think their main focus would be the racing.

It's a term used by the FIA though through CIK it's applied to karting. Literally it means "closed park". It's not karting specific. In the car classes, for example F1,GP2, F3 they secure all the cars in a single area. All ya'll might know it as "impound" in Cup terms. Another way to do it is to distribute tires at the event, like in the touring series. i don't see that happening either. I doubt the championship is being decided by shaving tires.

Well guys, you finally got what you wanted! The New tires sell for $618 a set and they last one weekend! I wonder is LVMS has increased the weekly payouts to offset the new expenses? LVMS has also scheduled 3 practices dates to make sure you spend all your money before the season begins. ha ha Welcome back, I wish everyone a safe and fun season.

Billy, I thought your were going to go show everyone how it's done out at Irwindale and now you're trying to stir up grief here at the Bullring. Same bullshizz, different season. Do us all a favor and just shut up. You bring nothing to the party, so just stay away. You need to listen to yourself...."LVMS sucks", "LVMS doesn't care about drivers", "LVMS just wants to make money". Quit your bit-chin' and GO AWAY. You don't offer anything in the way of solutions, just complaints. WOW, you are a complete waste of space.

heatmizer, Sense you brought it up, Irwindale has 8 double main events scheduled this year with double payouts! All 4 of my cars will be racing at IRP. The TCR school car just ordered the new LS3 CT525 crate engine. It should last 4 years in a Superlate model! I wonder if it comes in a reverse rotation? ha ha When are you going to stop hiding behind your screen name and tell everyone who you are? Wish you all a great racing season. The Professor

That is the attitude, if you don't like it here (LVMS bullring) go somewhere else and have fun. Unfortunately, there are a few racers who took that advice and drive hours away from fans, family and friends to race at other tracks. As the population of Clark County has more then doubled since 1993, the car count at LVMS has shrunk ,due in part to statements similar to the heat mizers. Some examples of driver friendly LVMS I can remember are Friday night practice that cost $25.00 , $10.00 for the crew and we could wear out a set of tires and a drum of fuel with track time, and due to the location of the drag strip we could still catch the quick 8 show down after the circle track was finished Park where you liked, without added cost, and most people had "the spot" where they parked every saturday night anyway So while people like the professor may get on your nerves, he has been supporting the local racing scene for more then 10 years

As the population of Clark County has more then doubled since 1993, the car count at LVMS has shrunk ,due in part to statements similar to the heat mizers. Anonymous posters on the Internet aren't contributing at all to the decrease in car counts at the track. The adjusted unemployment/under employment rate in Southern NV is around 20%. That I think more than anything is keeping people away though how the track is operated at times could certainly contribute as well. As for people going to other tracks I don't think that someone that is going to spend thousands of dollars a year on motorsport is going to be swayed one way or the other by what someone posts about Bill. What I see is that some people are not pleased and are choosing to take their business elsewhere or they just either can't afford to race or in some cases (lates and modifieds) the track has axed the class.

Billy, since you mispelled "since" and obviously have no sense, I'll go over it again. You contribute nothing to this forum other than an entertaining target. You're like the lame kid that always gets nailed during dodgeball. Stand there and take another ball to the face, you loser. Irwindale can have 20 double mains and you'll still never win any of them. Oh and before you start with your, "I had 2 fast times last season" keep in mind that anyone can tape the nose of their car and burn out their engines to get fast time. How many wins did your "fast car" have? Oh yeah, that's right, you didn't. Thanks for playing, idiot.
As for rickd's comments, I do support the Bullring (not sure why I should since they aren't interested in what the drivers, crews, or fans want), I just can't stand Billy, the now-it-NOT. I'd love to see the car counts go back up to the old level but in this economy, that isn't going to happen. I can make comments about the track, but I assure you that has nothing to do with the car count. Besides, Billy excells at bad mouthing LVMS and no one has left because of his comments...maybe they've left because they're sick of hearing Billy cheering for himself and bragging about how much he thinks he knows. Billy's presence should make the car counts in Irwindale drop like a rock...or at the very least, the quality of racing will decline as a result of him being there. Either way, my comments are not the reason the car count is so low. To quote a bad politician, "It's the economy, stupid".

Same old heatmizer,
More attention through conflict!
Did I screw your daughter or Kick your dog?
Why don't you tell us all who you are?
Stop hiding behind your screen name and validate your opinion!
Same old BS!

Once again Mitchell you show your low-life status. Can't understand why not knowing someone's name makes such a difference to you. His name is Joe - better? Who cares about the name it is the content of the post. Your's is ignorance and trash - and "Joe's" truth about you. Go away you fool.

How does knowing my name "validate" my opinion? I stand by all of my comments because they're based on truths. You're a jerk and no one likes you and yet, you have this high opinion of yourself. I'm just here to remind you that you know nothing, you are nothing and people really don't like you. If any of that is not true, someone (other than Billy) can inform me that I'm mistaken. But having met you and talking with people that are around you alot, I'm fairly sure that all of it is true.
It's encouraging to know that you'll be causing wreackage in Irwindale and not out at the Bullring. I'm willing to bet that you only run half a season before the money runs out and you aren't able to cobble back together the crap-pile you call race cars. The sad part is that there are other people that have to suffer as a result of your incompetence. I only hope that the people around you that don't know any better can see the time spent with you as a learning experience about what kind of people to avoid in life if you want to be happy and prosperous.
You are a pimple on the ass of life.
