I have heard some rumblings about some cars in the Superlates running cheater motors . Some guys out there sure do have some strong speed on the straight. The track seems to be interested only in checking tires for branding and the fuel- clearly 2 things on which they make money. Word is that some guys take that as a green light to run strokers. They may be in for a surprise, as someone may show up at the track on July 2 with the cash to open a motor.

Engines most likely will be opened anyway since it is the race before the break who have you noticed to get down the straights faster than normal?

It is usually that way, the race before the break and the last one of the year.......

Topfive, you're starting to become the intelligent version of Billy; lots of accusations but not alot of facts. If you're hearing that people are cheating, enlighten the rest of us so we can nail them for it. The best way to improve the racing is if its all on the up and up. If you know someone is cheating and can prove it, don't protect them by being coy. Spill the beans.

Alot of talk about cheating-from the bandos to the SLM's. It does not make sense to me, it can't be for the money, is it for the glory??? Once you cheat and get caught, you can never get that glory back no matter what you do, you will always be branded a cheater and people will always question you success. I personally would rather run 2nd and be able to sleep at night and earn the respect of the other honest racers than win by cheating.

I'm just saying if i knew what was being teched every race it would be pretty easy to cheat with the stuff they dont check. Just food for thought.

The drag races at the strip must have been called due to rain, as Billy " The Purr-Fessor" Mitchell showed up at the Bullring with his bracket car. He managed to coast around the corners until he got it all straight, then launched it. Once his tires hooked up at mid track he pulled everyone else by 2 car lengths. Unfortunately for him, he lost a blower belt and pulled off.

I guess Billy's motor was even too much for Mr. Magoo up in the tower, so this week they put 200# of lead on him. That put his performance back to where it should be- in the back. In a great stroke of providence he and Burke met nose to nose on the back straight after Burke lost it. Burke still has a guardian angel in the tower though, as they let him move to the front under the choose rule even though he caused the caution.

TopFIVE, "aka Moe, from three stooges"
Your an idiot!
We have always weighed 3000lbs. This is what we must weigh at Irwindale.
I started at the back because, we didn't qualify or run the heat. "clutch issues"
My students have been working hard to get their TEAM Cougar Racing car handling and the spec crate engine up to PAR.
Guys please check out the feature my broadcast students for their news station at the school.
