NEXT LATE MODEL TRUCK SERIES ON AUGUST 31 AT THE BULLRING (Pack The Track Night)

LAS VEGAS – After becoming the Late Model Truck Series’ first season champion last year, Mark Allison added another first to his resume.

The 2018 points champ won the 35-lap feature at Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif., to become the series’ first repeat winner since its return to action a year ago. Allison, who hails from Las Vegas, edged Bill Black for the checkered flag at the quarter-mile paved oval for his second career LMTS win.

Allison, who also won a race on Oct. 13 en route to the championship last fall, leads the 2019 series points standings through three races. Three different drivers have found Victory Lane this year, and Allison’s California triumph ended a streak of six straight LMTS races with different winners.

The Late Model Truck Series returns to action with a 35-lap feature at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Pack the Track Night on Aug. 31.

“We had another great race at Orange Show Speedway over the weekend, and Mark Allison showed why he’s our defending series champ,” series co-manager Mike Riefler said. “We’ve had a wonderful variety of race winners so far in two years of the Late Model Truck Series, and Gary Wyatt and I are excited for the rest of the 2019 season. It’s going to be an action-packed summer and fall, and we’re looking forward to bringing great racing to short track fans across the region.”

Saturday’s race was the third of seven LMTS events scheduled for 2019, and the season will culminate on Championship Night at The Bullring at LVMS on Nov. 23. The LMTS also will visit The Speedway at Willow Springs in Rosamond, Calif., and Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., this year.

Scheduled along with the Late Model Truck Series will be NASCAR Super Late Models, Super Stocks, Bombers and 602 Modifieds, USLCI Legends and Bandoleros and the final Jr. Late Models points race of the season; This event will feature greatly reduced ticket prices and a pre-race autograph session as we try to pack the track! (autograph session will be rescheduled due to heat)
