well gang a new season has started and the bsring has made another step in the wrong direction increased entry fees and now we have to buy their fuel As i recall the bombers and charger classes were supposed to be entry level classes they keep crying that they cant make any money but with their lack of advertising on tv and radio its no wonder that they cant get fans in the stands so i guess those of us that want to try and race on the cheap will go back to pahrump and other tracks where we will fell welcome to be in the show not just get lip service from people like stafford who doesnt even know what holiday weekend it is 1I

1I
FACT: I talked to Stafford and he said the Bomber class MAY run 93 Octane track fuel. If you purchase fuel from the track part of the money goes in to the Bomber point fund. For $6.50 or so a gallon I may run it since they won't let me run 110 octane. LOL
FACT: The entry fees have not changed from last year for bombers as of yet. Practice last night was $25.00 for the driver $10.00 for crew, same as last year.
What car do you run? There are some new faces including mine out there this year. Not sure which car you run?

Steve, One Eye works on Steve-O's car. Steve-O ran most of the races last year. Barbara should know who he is. Octane is only a resistance to detonation, it has nothing to do with horsepower. There are other factors like burn point that are important but in this case octane isn't as long as your engine doesn't detonate. You should be able to run pump gas up to 9.5:1 compression with no issues. Water contamination is a bigger issue in our case particularly with pump gas. If I had a high compression racing engine I would be demanding to use the best quality fuel I could. Production spec on a 350 SBO or SBC is hard pressed to hit more than 9.5:1.
I talked to the fuel dealers last time we ran and it was just under $35 for 5 gallons for MS93. I was paying about $55 for a 5 gal pail with taxes at Haythingy in 2008 when I was last using it. I've got quite a bit of experience with VP fuels in other racing. It's a great product but we don't need it in a Bomber. The cost difference over the course of the season is going to be about $500 a racer based on 4 gallons a night. I doubt that if everyone used nothing but track fuel they'll be able to recoup the cost difference even taking the championship, let alone everyone else.

Hey Steve,
Just because Oneeye doesn't own a car doesn't make him any less a "racer" than you are. I don't know what your racing experience is, but I would just bet that his exceeds yours. The guy lives for racing. I have seen him at the tracks a lot more than I have seen you. Just because you can afford to own some cars, and he can't, doesn't make you any better or any more involved. Oneeye will work on any car for anyone that needs help. He is always there for anyone, who needs him. He is also involved in racing other than what the BSRing offers. So, don't call him a "wannabe racer". He is a racer through and through. And, his opinion is just as important as yours is.

Way too much drama.
The facts are, the car counts are going down and driver/race teams are leaving LVMS "bullring" and going to other facilities to spend their monies.
The cost of racing at LVMS has gone through the roof and the purses have been the same for how long? Why don't you try getting someone to sponsor the series? "ie Pepsi"
How many classes have been eliminated or combined just so there are enough cars to race?
LVMS has to schedule more traveling series than ever just to make money off the back gate!
Do you think any fans actually showered up to watch Focus midgets or mini cup cars? BORING!!
Think, why do super late models always race last?
Please answer this, why is the president "38" allowed to brake check during every restarts and everyone else is warned as soon as they take the lead?
There should always be an official in every corner all the time!
That's right, I was listening to race control's radios!
The 16 didn't jump the star, running into the back of the president "38"! That was the third time "the president" brake checked the field off turn 4! How many cars wrecked on restarts with "the president" starting the races? Enough said!
Another, try playing music or something between races during down time. Way too much silence last night!
Another suggestion, Block head and staff need to stop running up and down the stairs during racing! Very distracting and unprofessional.
Congrats to all the winners,
The professor

Guys and Gals. Did not mean to offend anyone. Wannabe is a person that wants to be, it is not a derogatory term nor is it meant to be one. Sorry if I misused the term I majored in engineering not english. 1I is a good guy and I do recall meeting him at Pahrump. What I am trying to say is if your not paying to enter your own car I don't believe you have the option of asking the people with cars to boycott a track for reasons that do not directly affect you. I have not raced any car or cars for a feature race at LVMS. Yes , I am a wannabe racer, is that a bad thing, I think not. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? We have three cars at the present time race ready for the bullring, one of those is strictly for driver developement. If one of the other wannabe's wants to drive contact myself or Barb and we will see what we can work out, right now the extra car is spoken for but she may have her own ride in the fairly near future.
Wade, have a nice day. Do not remember starting anything with you. Yes I do remember you almost rearending me as I was coming off the track after the checkered flag and I am glad you did not hurt yourself!
Sassy360, Was not trying to be offensive to 1I. Don't know him well enough to concur on the heart of gold but I am sure your right. As far as help I did see him help others so on that one I am sure your right. Like I said earlier Wannabe is not meant as derogatory. It appears any comments made on this site are always considered deragatory. I saw a posting where a guy said thanks to those that helped and got rebuked because he forgot to mention someone. Tough place to post, huh?
