Did those Ewing cars so up to race or what??? Them things were fast. I think the only cars the 94 and 15 didn't hit were the Ewing cars and the pace car. WTF?? Maybe because they couldn't catch either one. The car count was pretty good but I just wonder how long it will last. Having to buy a set of tires a week ($618) is going to run more people away then it's going to bring in. Well time to go to Home Depot and see if I can't make some money.
Adiós, Dirty Mexican

Only 20 cars on opening night is not a good sign. I saw at least 5 regulars in the grandstands. Ash and Gafforini grenaded motors- some say because the track changed to VP fuel without warning. Those tires must be super soft for the times everyone was turning- that also means they probably are good for one 40 lap race only- at 600 plus per set, watch the count drop to 10 cars real soon. If they let the guys choose to run the 970's with a 200# weight break, they could probably pick up 5-10 cars per week. Maybe the track was hoping to attract out of towners with the tire rule, the price of gas, entry and pit passes will put an end to that plan. Tech was checking for NASCAR licenses like airport security, so watch the crew counts drop too. Who can afford 50.00 per crew plus 150.00 for his license. Crowd was about half the normal opening night as well. TV thing was cool, with replays- If its going to be permanent, it should be mounted on the backstretch or on the scoreboard. Good call on the Anderson/Gafforini deal- maybe the TV helped, since the tower has been doing a Stevie Wonder impression for years. Didn't see a replay of the 69 charger on the re-start, but it sure looked to me like he passed on the inside before start finish.

WOW $50.00 for nonmember that is the 3rd or 4th year in a row that pit passes have gone up looks like the bullring is trying to price its self out of business. I when to Hickory sat. for there opener 3000+ in the stands $10.00 to get in the stands $25.00 for member pit pass and $35.00 for nonmember. Late models car count down a Little 6 driver said just didn't get there cars done in time. Limited late model up in count. 16 lates started the main and 17 limiteds started there main. Good luck to all at the bullring this year.

Hey topfive the 69 car did not pass before the start finish line he moved out of line before the start finish but never made his pass until after the line. It was on video and they waited until after the super event to let the drivers know the final out come.

Hey top five, you got it right on the 69 car. He didn't actually pass the 98 before the start/finish line. However, he did jump the restart and had his front bumper at the b pillar of the 98 car prior to the start/finish line. The rule is very clear your front bumper may not go forward of the rear bumper of vehicle in front of you prior to your crossing the S/F line. A clear violation of the rules. No matter it's water under the bridge as long as it doesn't continue to happen. The real problem is when the track let's something like this go and then penalizes the next guy that may do it. Lets just go out there, play by the rules and have some fun. Good luck to everyone in the coming weeks.

The NWAAS crew license is $90/year, not $150. The crew pass is $25 not $50.

The real story on the #69 win is the effort it took to even get the chance to be in position to have a shot at a win on the last lap. A signifigant effort by John at Keller Race Engines early in the week, putting other jobs to the side that didn't need to be done, several work days missed by a dedicated crew all day and all nite Thursday and Friday installing the engine. Last minute tuning By Keller Race Engines Firday late aftternoon, with the crew working hard to set up the car Friday nite and during practice Saturday. The rear end had to be replaced Saturday at the track. A power steering pump failed during the heat race and the crew came through with an amazing effort to get a borrowed pump on the car in the nick of time to make the race.
Then during the race a flat on the #69 car under yellow - and the car making it all the way back to the pits with the crew making a valent effort to hustle down, change a tire, and run back up to the track to watch. We narrowly avoided a few heart attacks in the effort and what are the chances you can get a flat tire in the Charger class and make it back out on the track with out going a lap down in a feature? Next to no chance right? Then to top it all off catching the 98 car with his pants down around his ankles in 4th gear on a restart with the #69 restarting in third gear, speed shifting into 4th before the corner giving a huge advantage to win the drag race down the straightaway on the last lap? Darren, John and Todd won that race with Vinny assisting.

why is everyone picking on the poor little dancing ballerina in the 94 car, common guys, is it because of the unlimited funds, mulitple crew cheifs, cars and engines, the kid has talent just ask his dad. Besides, they are all to good for the bullring anyway. How long before parker jr. sucks up enough to get the 94 ride. That team is like a homemade volcano science project, it will never work when you want it to, then all at once it blows up in your face. good luck boys:)

The Vision Air Racing team is a joke. They think because Dusty cant win or run up front its the crew chief. Well they have had like 3 or 4 now and he still runs the same. Huh maybe daddy should take a good hard look at his pride and joy. The kid is just ok behind the wheel and always has been. The person I feel bad for is the owner he has been fed a line of SH!T about this kid and is losing serious money just having him or his father around. There is a target on that kid now and the owner is going to be the one paying for it. I dont see Dusty finishing a race at the Bullring the next few races. Poor kid doesnt know whats coming!

Having just gotten back into town and catching up on things, what I have watched and read; opening night was interesting if nothing else. I think that Dusty does know what is in store for him by now. He has had one very good mentor and one with questionable skill, no conscience, and a very quick car, but for whatever reason he chose to kick them to the curb, (or they left) not learning anything except how to hit another car. That he learned quite well. The next few races should be very interesting.

First, why are we talking about chargers in the super late forum?
Pete, you really should be thanking a lot of other people besides just the 69 crew. First and foremost, where are the thanks to the team that gave your team the power steering pump? Without that, you and your team would have been setting on your hands in the pits.
Secondly, maybe you should just give a small thanks to the track staff for holding the caution on what seemed to be a few extra laps for no apparent reason.
Lastly, you should apologize to the driver of the 98 car for your rude comments. Let's look at the video when it comes out. The only reason the 69 car won was his illegal restart. Oh, the 69 driver made such an awesome maneuver when you consider that all he did was make an illegal start. The rules are very clear that a driver may not make ANY movement forward on the left side of the vehicle in front during a single file restart until after the start finish line. If it weren't for the illegal restart, the 69 would have finished in 2d place.
So go ahead, give yourself another pat on your own back and relish in the fact you only got a win because of a NICE break by the track, a nice team that lent you guys the power steering pump, and lastly the illegal restart.
Just remember this, what goes around comes around. I can assure you, the 69 car will get no more parts from us. Arrogance is not something to showcase when you break the rules. I’m not trying to start a confrontation, but I certainly will not allow you to make inflammatory comments and belittle other people just so you can gloat.
